Water Valley and Pelican Lakes Gold Course Bank Stabilization

The Cache la Poudre River flows through the Water Valley property in Windsor, CO and caused bank erosion, specifically along sections of the Pelican Lakes Golf Course; this erosion was exacerbated during the September 2013 historic flooding event. Some locations exhibited large sediment depositions, putting undo stress on already compromised banks. FlyWater Inc. was hired to construct stream bank stabilizations in high priority areas of the property, where the river was affecting the golf course and associated infrastructure. Boulder toes and rock spurs were incorporated into bank stabilization structures to reduce stress on the banks during high flow events.
