River Constructor

Curt has been with FlyWater since 2017 as a river construction equipment operator. Curt has an extensive and varied background in equipment operations going back over 40 years. This has included river construction for FlyWater, wildland fire dozers, ski area snowcats, and 28 years teaching a collegiate-level equipment operations program.

While at Colorado Mountain College, he also helped develop and instructed in the first Colorado collegiate-level Fly Fish Guiding program. While in the ski industry, he participated in both national and state trade organizations and consulted internationally in China, Korea, and Russia.

Curt has also been tasked with the development and implementation of a customized instruction program to allow clients to gain specific knowledge related to riverine construction techniques.

His river knowledge comes from decades of flyfishing Colorado and New Mexico streams and lakes, where he also spent time as a fishing guide. Recent projects include Granby Diversion, Colorado Hwy 7 South Saint Vrain, Verner State Wildlife Area, TNC Williams Ditch, and Walden Hollow Fishing Club.
