• Parker Scherman

    Project Manager and Environmental Geologist

Parker started as an intern with FlyWater during his years attending Colorado State University where he earned a degree in Environmental Geology and a Minor in Watershed Science (2011). After graduation, Parker started full time with FlyWater at the beginning of 2013 and he has been an integral part of the company for the last 10 years. His knowledge of western geology, coupled with his passion for rivers and the outdoors, gives him a level of understanding of the natural environment across an extremely broad scale.

With equal time over the years spent in the office and constructing in the field, Parker has intimate knowledge of the flow of projects from assessment to design and finally to construction. He is a proficient heavy equipment operator and is a major support to FlyWater’s construction crew. He maintains a sincere focus to benefit the entire riverine ecosystem while working closely with each client to help bring their complete vision to fruition. He works closely with landowners, clients, and other stakeholders to be sure that all the project’s goals and objectives are achieved to the highest potential and within budget.

During his free time, he can often be found running around Colorado and Wyoming with his family chasing water, fly fishing, and in the mountains hunting. It’s this lifelong passion for the outdoors that has cultivated such a vast knowledge of outdoor recreation and how the Rocky Mountain ecosystem functions. Parker is also on the Board of the Colorado Riparian Association and previously served as President. He is also a planning committee member for the Sustaining Colorado Watersheds Conference.
