River Constructor/Operator

Rick joined the FlyWater team in the summer of 2023, bringing with him an impressive 35 years of experience operating heavy equipment. Rick started his career in the oil and gas industry on Colorado's front range before moving to the Pacific Northwest to work in one of its largest sand and gravel pits. Throughout his career, Rick has become proficient in operating a diverse range of heavy machinery, including loaders, dozers, and excavators, establishing himself as a trusted operator.

From reclaiming gold and silver mines to contributing to flood and avalanche mitigations, Rick has consistently delivered exceptional results. He has also contributed to river restoration and construction projects, pond construction, and road and bridge construction projects. Rick’s expertise and versatility shine through in every project he takes on.

In his spare time, Rick enjoys being outside, working on cars, racing and traveling.
